Lease a Birthday is actually Lisa's birthday. This was my first song written on a guitar.

After losing my better half of many years I met someone who's life spirit inspired me to write again. Lisa was my first muse in a long dark time in my life. Her perspective allowed me to reconnect with myself and get moving again. Did I love her, No... But my reawakening gave me joy. Lisa you were the catalyst. Thanks.

Lease a Birthday

I woke up from a bad dream

The world changed round me

I’m wandering where my world had gone

When you walk on brittle ice

Make sure choice is your own

Or least know how to walk on water

I Found that all I had

Was written in my heart

I wonder how much it cost

Take that page away

You’ll find the words remain

And I’ll be right there

Oh me, Oh me Oh where have I Gone

Oh me, Oh me Oh where have I Gone

Can’t find the mountains

They seem so far away

Feel them standing there against the wind

Bright lights in the city

They all smell all the same

Remember when it all washed away

And when I want to reach out

For a dream to call my own

You tell me it’s everywhere

This gives me all I need

To take Living stand

To be all I can

Oh me, Oh me Oh where have I Gone

Oh me, Oh me Oh where have I Gone

Drifting to the shoreline

I find tracks in the sand

No one seems to know where they go

Walk with me this moment

Down a strangers path

And help me, find myself.

Taking time think out

Where islands are the soul

Mirrored on the evening grown old

Maybe for this short while

Maybe for this night

We know we’re not alone

Oh me, Oh me Oh where have I Gone

Oh me, Oh me Oh where have I Gone
